Building Manager / Classification System / room

The Classification Systems sets up a structure for the active project. It is used to define a building, level and room hierarchy.

Key No. settings
  • Key No. — Shows Key No for new rooms.
  • Number of Keys — Set number of new entries in Building Manager Classification System.
  • Step Size — Set step size for new entries in Building Manager Classification System.
Room/Zone No. Enter room number manually. Alternatively, use the Load button below and select Macro for room number.
Room/Zone Name Enter room name manually.
Macro settings
  • Macro field - Displays syntax of current syntax being loaded.
  • Load Default Macro — Opens Select Default Macro dialog from where the default macro is loaded.
    Macros available:
    • Building / Floor / No
    • Floor / No
    Select room Name Macro
    Note: The default macro displayed is dependent of currently selected space object in the treeview. For example, Room n, Building n, Floor n etc.
  • Insert — Opens Macro Assistant where you can set level, leading zeros and pick different sequence for macro.
  • Test — Macro generated room number is shown in Room/Zone No. field above.
Attribute Displays a tabulated list of space parameters; you can set each individually.
Few, for example, are as listed below:
  • Space Type (ASHRAE 90.1-2004) — shows possible space types from ASHRAE 90.1-2004 definition, will be used in the output ASHRAE 90.1 or ASHRAE 90.1 Benchmark.
  • Lighting Power and Density — sets the actual lighting power, and max / actual lighting power densities for a given space. The density value is restricted below 10 units.
  • Area, Height — sets dimension of a room.
The Room Height will be used in symbol placement methods ( Place Symbols in Grid, Place Symbols in a Space and Place Symbols by Coverage Radius) taken as default room height.
Value Displays the value set against each attribute. These are set by selecting one of the options listed or by entering a value in the bottom field for selected attribute.
Save Accepts the value selected / entered in the field for selected attribute. You must Save each attribute to set the value.
